For Newcastle, it is the corresponding fixture from last season that provides cause for optimism. Eddie Howe's side came from behind to win 2-1 at the City Ground with a last-gasp Alexander Isak penalty, a second win in a run of eight in nine that carried the Magpies towards Champions League qualification. Isak is also now missing due to injury.

Former Newcastle man Wood is absent here through injury, however.
