From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Norwich City and Leeds United played out a goalless draw in the first leg of their Championship play-offs semi-final tie.

Leeds appealed for a penalty in the seventh minute when Willy Gnonto went down after contact with Borja Sainz on the edge of the penalty area but the referee disagreed.

Junior Firpo found the net on the half-hour mark but Georginio Rutter was offside during the build-up, causing the goal to be ruled out for the visitors.

Norwich, who failed to score at a home game for the first time since December, will visit Leeds for the second leg of the semi-final on Thursday.

Norwich 0-0 Leeds

60 mins: The first sub of the game sees Rowe make way for Fassnacht. A quiet showing for the Norwich youngster but perhaps understandable given it’s his first start since January as he returns from injury.

Norwich 0-0 Leeds

58 mins: Duffy misplaces a headed clearance and it drops at the feet of Summerville inside the box. It’s a tight angle for the Leeds forward and Gunn does well to turn it behind for a corner at his near post.

Norwich 0-0 Leeds

57 mins: Kamara and Firpo combine well down the left side of Norwich’s box but the left-back’s eventual cross into the box deflects off Duffy and into the hands of Gunn at the near post.
