As one-sided a half as you are likely to see in the Premier League this season, well, apart from what is currently happening in the Manchester City vs Leicester game. Arsenal have been really good and are fully deserving of their two-goal lead. They’ve passed the ball through Norwich at ease and both goals came through flowing moves, both set up by Odegaard, finished off by Saka and then Tierney. Norwich need to be more aggressive in this second half. It’s been far to easy for Arsenal, who are 45 minutes away from a fourth consecutive Premier League win.

Arsenal double their lead on the stroke of half-time, and it’s Tierney who scores it! It comes, again, from Odegaard, who slices Norwich open with a beautiful pass out wide to the left. Tierney takes it into his stride and produces a great finish on the run to find the inside of the post and beat Gunn.

It’s a deserved second goal for Arsenal - they’ve been well on top.

43 mins: Gilmour crosses the ball in towards Pukki and Ramsdale is forced into a save after Gabriel heads it on.

39 mins: The temperature is getting heated at Carrow Road - this time White and Williams get into each other’s faces after a tackle, and Placheta is booked after he got involved too.

38 mins: Dowell catches Martinelli with a late challenge - and that sparks a bit of a confrontation between the teams after Norwich didn’t play the ball out of play. It ends in Xhaka getting a yellow card - which for an earlier tackle on Sargent and his reaction to Aarons.

36 mins: Frustration for Norwich as McLean plays the ball straight out of play - at the other end Partey splits Norwich open as he finds Martinelli, who slips in the overlapping Tierney. Arsenal had numbers in the middle but Tierney’s ball was behind them all. Martinelli then tries his luck from distance but it’s straight down the throat of Gunn.

32 mins: Norwich break forward through Placheta - a little reminder that they’re still in this game, even though the overall flow of the game says otherwise. His cross is easily gathered up by Ramsdale.

29 mins: Martinelli plays a quick one-two with Xhaka but can’t cut the ball back to Saka. Arsenal break forward again - they really cutting Norwich open at ease - and Martinelli’s deflected shot loops up to Saka. He goes for the spectacular overhead but sends it over the crossbar.
