Cristiano Ronaldo signed a new Real Madrid contract at the weekend, but there was almost as much talk about his glasses than the £76m deal he had just signed.

While over in the Premier League, Wayne Rooney's headgear created more interest than his fine free-kick in Manchester United's victory over Crystal Palace.
