The 4-1 scoreline is perhaps a tad harsh on the home side who defended very well, but second half goals from Leroy Sane, and Riyad Mahrez either side of Phil Foden's double was the difference.
Padraig made it 2-1 with just minutes of normal time remaining as Newport threatened to mount a late comeback, but Foden added his second before Mahrez completed the job in added time.

Full time: That's it! Millwall hold on and progress to the quarter finals of the FA Cup. It wasn't pretty, and often it was difficult to see which of the two teams was the Championship side. But the visitors won't care. Wallace's early goal gave them something to defend and they did so resolutely for the remainder of the game. Wimbledon deserve credit, too, despite just falling short today.
Next up: Newport vs Manchester City. Can the League Two side pull off what would be one of the biggest FA Cup shocks in the competition's long history. They're up against one of the best teams English football has ever seen, but there's something about Rodney Parade.
Newport have already beaten Leicester and Middlesbrough there this season. This is another step up, though, and Pep Guardiola will not allow any complacency amongst his players.
