Manchester City ended their four match run without a win as they edged past Luton Town 2-1 at Kenilworth Road in a contest that threatened to end in another negative result for Pep Guardiola’s men.
Without Erling Haaland in the squad, the visitors struggled to capitalise on their possession the first half and, aided by some fine saves from Thomas Kaminski, Lutin kept them at bay. Elijah Adebayo leapt above everyone else to nod home the opener just before the half-time break and Luton took the lead.
In the second half, Man City picked up where they left off and pushes the Hatters deep. Bernardo Silva curled in a superb left-footed strike just after the hour mark to equalise before Jack Grealish slotted home to decisive goal to secure the points for the champions.

Pep Guardiola believes his Manchester City side face a challenge to get back to winning ways at Luton this weekend.
The champions have gone four games without a Premier League win for the first time since 2017 after successive draws against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham were followed by defeat at Aston Villa on Wednesday.
They will be expected to put that behind them at Kenilworth Road on Sunday but the promoted Hatters have produced some battling performances on their top-flight return and Guardiola expects another.

‘City are the best’ says Edwards
Luton Town boss Rob Edwards believes that Manchester City are the best team in the Premier League and he is excited to for his team play against them today.
“It’s an exciting game for us, in my opinion City are the best and Guardiola is the best.” said the Hatters’ boss. “A few years ago, when I was a coach at Wolves, I was reading Guardiola’s books, studying his Bayern Munich team and it will be quite an experience going up against him.
“It would be nice to get a bit of time after the game to pick his brains, whether there will be enough time afterwards I’m not sure, but he’s someone you can learn a lot from.”
