Schlupp does well to control a loose ball in Luton's half and weaves his way through a couple of players. He lays a pass down the right to Olise, who cuts inside and has his shot blocked. His effort was never going to reach the goal with two defenders ahead of him.

Luton have suffered five Premier League defeats by a single goal this season, the joint most of any side (level with Sheffield United). Meanwhile, three of opponents Palace’s four wins this season have come via a one-goal victory. The Eagles have had the better chances to break the deadlock in the opening exchanges, but Kaminski is yet to be seriously challenged in the Luton goal.

Edouard does well to control a long ball forward, allowing Palace to recycle possession down the left side of the pitch. Olise rushes towards the byline and pulls a low cross across the box, but Eze does not make the run and Luton clear it away.

Doughty is over a deep free-kick in Palace's half, but the chance quickly evaporates after a foul in the box. It was a rare opportunity to get the ball forward with plenty of options in the middle.
