Luton Town vs Crystal Palace LIVE: Premier League result and reaction Hatters clinch huge win
Follow all the action from Kenilworth Road
Everton’s 10-point deduction has given Luton Town a real chance of staying in the Premier League this year as they are now one point clear of the relegation zone. They are not safe by any means but two draws in their last four matches, so they are starting to adapt to the rigours of the top-flight.
They host Crystal Palace this afternoon hoping to pick up a second win of the season against the Eagles who only have one victory from their last five.
However, Roy Hodgson’s men have won three of their six Premier League away games this season and have the bonus of Jordan Ayew and Jefferson Lerma returning from international duty yesterday.

Palace start the second half in a similar way to what they did in the first. The away side keep possession well outside Luton's box, with Olise receiving it on the right. He attempts to swing a low cross into the middle with the outside of his foot, but Kaminski claims it.

Luton Town vs Crystal Palace
Luton will be frustrated with their performance before the break, only having three shots and creating an expected goals (xG) of 0.17. Townsend and Doughty have put a number of crosses into the box, but Palace have been able to deal with them. Morris has often been forced wide, meaning the Hatters have not had a target in the middle. As for the Eagles, they will be encouraged by their attempts. Olise has been involved at every opportunity on his first start of the season and has already had 36 touches on the right. Eze has also looked dangerous behind Edouard, who will be disappointed that he was only able to get one shot away before the break.
Luton Town vs Crystal Palace
Kaminski made an impressive double-save to keep the score level in the first half, with the game between Luton and Palace goalless at the break. The Eagles had the better chances and looked to open the scoring early in the match. Olise attempted to mark his return to the side with a goal inside the opening minute but curled his left-footed strike around the post. Edouard's poked effort was then saved easily by the goalkeeper before two phenomenal stops. Eze's powerful shot from the edge took a wicked deflection, with Kaminski getting down to his right to parry it away before blocking Schlupp's rebound. Luton's best opportunity came through Lockyer, but he headed over from a corner.
