Salah then flies into the box. Jota is wide open to his left but Salah goes it alone. He attempts to flick it over Kasper Schmeichel’s right shoulder but the Leicester goalkeeper closes him down and gets a hand to the ball to keep it out! Great save.

73 mins: Close! Alexander-Arnold curls a pass over towards Jota but Amartey gets to it first. He knocks the ball away from the Liverpool striker but gives it to Diaz. Diaz sends the ball into the left side of the penalty area and Jota takes over. He squares the ball and Diaz jumps over it thinking Salah is right behind him. Instead Ndidi gets to the ball first and boots it away.

70 mins: Chance! Harvey Elliott brings the ball out of his own half and slides it across to Thiago. He gives it to Jota who threads a pass up to Diaz on the inside left. He carries the ball into the box but Amartey does well to force him wide. Still Diaz fancies himself and lets fly but ends up firing his shot wide of the near post and into the middle of the Kop.
