Liverpool made sure they kept pace in the Premier League title race as Trent Alexander-Arnold struck a dramatic winner to defeat Fulham in a seven-goal thriller at Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold’s 89th minute goal in front of the Kop came just moments after Wataru Endo equalised for the hosts, with Fulham taking a shock lead in the 80th minute when Bobby Decordova-Reid headed in at the back post.
Liverpool led twice in the first half thanks to sublime goals from Alexander-Arnold and Alexis Mac Allister, but Jurgen Klopp’s side were too open at the back and a resilient Fulham team twice found equalisers.
Marco SIlva’s side then looked set to earn a rare away win at Anfield when Decordova-Reid headed in but Liverpool produced a stunning response, with substitute Endo pulling one back before Alexander-Arnold hit a brilliant winner in front of the Kop.

Liverpool show title credentials as Trent Alexander-Arnold inspires comeback win over Fulham
Sunday’s encounter was a spectacle nobody was anticipating, as Liverpool made it sevens wins from seven home Premier League games in this season of rapid turnaround at Anfield - and with a match of equally rapid turnaround.
Not only was the intensity turned up to the maximum, the quality of Liverpool’s goals had Anfield purring with delight, as they gave up the initial lead before eventually coming from behind to beat Fulham 4-3.
There are few players, past or present, whose position is up for debate more than Trent Alexander-Arnold’s. Jurgen Klopp clearly cannot decide what camp he sits in. While he concurs with the argument such a passing range could be wasted at full-back, he also remembers the damage Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson did flying down the wing in the Reds’ 2019-20 title-winning campaign.
