But we start with Tottenham, and Christian Eriksen is on the verge of completing a move to Inter Milan. He is expected to fly to Italy for a medical early next week to seal the deal, in which he is expected to earn a tidy £320,000 per week. Tottenham have turned their attentions to Real Sociedad's Willian Jose as they look to keep up their push to finish in the top four, and the Spanish club must decide whether to play their distracted star this weekend against Mallorca. One player who could be heading in the opposite direction to Eriksen is AC Milan's Krzysztof Piatek. Spurs and Milan are said to be haggling over a deal which the Italian club hope will be worth as much as £30m, and the negotiations could run over the coming days towards deadline day.
Manchester United are locked in debate with Sporting Lisbon over the fee for Bruno Fernandes, which could break down or breakthrough at any moment. Sporting are holding out for up £68m while United would prefer to pay something closer to £50m, for a player who has already agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club. Meanwhile, Arsenal are considering tripling the wages of teenage star Gabriel Martinelli to ward off interest from Real Madrid, while likewise Manchester United are set to offer teenage talent Angel Gomes a bumper deal to keep him from quitting at the end of the season when his contract runs out. Chelsea are said to be interested in the midfielder.
Elsewhere West Ham are getting busy this January. The club are interested in bringing in the impressive Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash, who is valued at around £15m, and have bid up to £12m for the defender. They are also in talks over the French striker Serhou Guirassy from Amiens.
DONE DEAL! Jermain Defoe has made his loan move from Bournemouth to Rangers permanent.
Pablo Mari has landed in London to complete his move from Flamengo to Arsenal.
The Brazilian centre-back arrived with director Edu and confirmed to Goal that he is "excited" to be joining the Gunners.
Manchester United are chasing two strikers – Odoin Ighalo and Islam Slimani – as they desperately chase cover for the injured Marcus Rashford. Slimani is on loan at Monaco while Ighalo is at Shanghai Shenhua.
Sky Sports reports that the pair are on their shopping list, while a £30m offer has been submitted for Birmingham City's teenage talent Jude Bellingham.
A big story coming out of Italy. Olivier Giroud has agreed terms with Inter Milan, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, and the Chelsea striker is set to complete a €5m transfer which could rise to more than €6m with bonuses.
