At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

On the eve of the Premier League season, clubs are still frantically looking to get deals done, with Manchester United still hopeful of landing Jadon Sancho, Liverpool and Thiago Alcantara will not go away and Chelsea look determined to sign a new goalkeeper. Meanwhile Barcelona are looking to clear out their squad with Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez available.
ARSENAL CHIEF DISMISSES AGENT RUMOURS
Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham insists the club are not signing players based on who is their agent - claiming it would be a "crazy strategy".
With his clients David Luiz, Cedric Soares and Willian moving to the Emirates Stadium in the last year, there have been some claims that Kia Joorabchian is now exerting too much influence over Arsenal's transfer dealings.
There were some suggestions he also became part of the Gabriel Magalhaes transfer as the Brazil youth international defender joined from Lille last month.
But Venkatesham, whose promotion from managing director to chief executive was announced by the club on Thursday, strongly denied any hint that the identity of a player's agent was a deciding factor in the recruitment process.

BELLERIN LEFT IN LIMBO
Hector Bellerin has been left in limbo at Arsenal.
The Gunners are looking to raise funds for new signings, primarily a new midfielder, with the Spanish right-back reluctantly one of the players being made available this summer.
PSG appeared ready to make a move for him but have instead opted for Alessandro Florenzi from Roma.
The Italian international will move initially on loan which appears to rule out a move for Bellerin.
Other suitors could yet emerge, however, with Barcelona one of a number of clubs credited with interest.
LAMPARD READY TO INTENSIFY INTEREST IN RICE
Frank Lampard is ready to intensify his interest in Declan Rice, with the Telegraph reporting a move for Edouard Mendy is nearing completion.
Lampard will have to sell a midfielder to get a deal done for Rice, with West Ham likely to command a big fee.
Jorginho would be the preference, but the market is unclear, while N’Golo Kante is wanted by Inter, but the Blues appear ready to reject any offers from the Italians.
INTER TO SIGN VIDAL AND DARMIAN
Inter are set to sign Arturo Vidal and Fabrizio Romano reports it’s “just a matter of time”.
Barcelona don’t want the Chilean midfielder, while Antonio Conte opted for experience over potential with Milan signing Sandro Tonali instead.
Matteo Darmian will join from Parma too, he reports, with the former United full-back a good option as a wing-back.
NEW JOB TITLE FOR ARTETA
This is why Arsenal were so keen to change Mikel Arteta’s role at Arsenal.
They say he has "lifted the spirits of players, staff and fans" during his stay in charge.

Personal terms have been agreed, Fabrizio Romano reports, but no big is in yet, with just one year remaining on his deal at OL.
Barcelona held talks with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the Gabonese rejected the interest and is set to pen a new deal.
GARETH BALE UPDATE
Gareth Bale is unwanted at Real Madrid, we know that much, but his fitness will also be a huge factor as to whether the Welshman remains at the Bernabeu or perhaps begrudgingly accepts a move away.
The Mirror report bale is rehabilitating well back in the Spanish capital after picking up an injury with Wales.
The knee complaint is not serious though following two appearances against Finland and Bulgaria.
ARSENAL EYE ‘STABILITY'
Arsenal have enjoyed a fine summer in the market, and now Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham tells the Telegraph the club is looking to acquire “stability”.
Venkatesham says both he and Edu can bring that, after restructuring the set-up behind the scenes.
The Gunners will now look to slim down their squad in the final weeks of the season, while there are still hopes of signing a top midfielder such as Thomas Partey to complete a remarkable few months at the Emirates.
AUBAMEYANG ON THE VERGE OF NEW DEAL
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the verge of a new Arsenal contract, report the Athletic.
The deal will make him the highest paid player at the Emirates, on about £200,000 per week.
A three-year deal will also see the Gabonese feature as the talisman as Mikel Arteta builds his revolution with the Gunners.
ROSE SET FOR SERIE A
Danny Rose looks primed for a fresh start in Serie A.
PA report the Spurs left-back is close to Genoa, while Cagliari, too, are interested.
The England left-back is not wanted by Jose Mourinho and has been vocal about his lack of opportunities since his arrival at the club.
