Fresh from their FA Cup final victory on Sunday, Arsenal are set to dominate the headlines this week with talks ongoing to extend Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract beyond the end of the season, while Mikel Arteta is also targeting Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos.
Tottenham Hotspur meanwhile have been offered the chance to sign Watford captain Troy Deeney in an effort to keep the striker in the Premier League, while Aston Villa are understood to be looking at a move for Liverpool forward Divock Origi.
Manchester United are set for a busy summer with interest in both Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish, but one name who has cropped up on the radar is Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes after executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward reportedly held talks with his agent last week. United are also keeping an eye on Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar, though the defender may be priced out of a move to Old Trafford. Follow the live news below.
Liverpool are still being linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, though French champions Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race for the Spain midfielder as he nears a move away from Bayern Munich.
Gareth Bale has held talks with Wales boss Ryan Giggs about his future at Real Madrid, according to The Mirror.
Bale's agent has spoken already this summer about his desire to remain in the Spanish capital, despite an apparent fractious relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane and a lack of first-team football.
That has led to concern from Giggs that Bale will be short on match fitness when Euro 2020 comes about next summer, but Bale has moved to appease the national team manager that he will be ready to go for the Euros even if he struggles for regular football next season.
He's determined to stay at Madrid though largely because of the lack of possible options, with clubs unable to afford Bale's hefty transfer feee and wages.
Tottenham are not willing to sell record signing Tanguy Ndombele amid reported interest from Inter Milan.
The Frenchman, who has also been linked to Barcelona and Bayern Munich, has had a torrid first year in English football and made just 17 starts following his £55million move from Lyon.
However, Press Association reports Spurs are not in talks with Inter or any other club and are committed to their investment, with chairman Daniel Levy not prepared to sell a player who they believe can come good.
Ndombele has shown flashes of brilliance but his first season in the Premier League has been undermined by fitness issues, while he has also taken time to adapt to the new culture without speaking much English. Spurs, including boss Jose Mourinho, are willing to be patient with the 23-year-old, believing they have a major asset in the squad.
Mourinho has tried different ways to get the best out of the midfielder, including several public dressing downs. The Portuguese complained Ndombele was “always injured” in January and then said his player had to give more after he was hauled off at half-time of the 1-1 draw at Burnley in March - his last start of the season.
But recently Mourinho has said he “will not give up” on Ndombele. “Every player is part of my plans,” he said. “Everyone. I don't give up on players, no player has a privilege, all the same. No problem at all. Every player is part of my plans.”
Divock Origi will always be fondly remembered as the man who helped Liverpool to Champions League success in 2019, with his goalscoring heroics helping to see off Barcelona and Tottenham in the semi-finals.
But first-team football has not been easy to come by for the Belgium international, and he could well be on the move this summer after helping to wrap up the Premier League title.
The Sun reports that Aston Villa have identified the 25-year-old as the ideal transfer target to help push them forward after staying in the Premier League last season, and although he still made 44 appearances last season, the chance to become the focal point of a team's attack force appears to be what he is looking for right now.
Liverpool continue to be linked with Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, though conflicting reports leave it hard to tell if Jurgen Klopp genuinely wants to sign the Spaniard or not.
The latest suggestions from Spain claim that Liverpool are 'very likely' to sign Thiago from Bayern after he expressed a desire to leave this summer, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that the Reds are ahead of Paris Saint-Germain as the two clubs who want to sign the 29-year-old.
Much of the transfer speculation surrounding Manchester United has looked at how the club will bolster their attacking options, with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Raul Jimenez all mentioned.
But one name that has cropped up abroad that would help address their defence is Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
French outlet RMC Sport reports that United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has held talks with Magalhaes' agent over a move to Old Trafford, with the 22-year-old Brazilian up for grabs for the right price this summer.
Some news just in on Jadon Sancho.
Sky Sports are reporting that Borussia Dortmund are open to selling the forward to Manchester United as long as they commit before 10 August, which is next Monday.
With talks taking place over a move that appears to be structured in instalments, United will need to weigh up over the next seven days whether they are willing to part from a nine-figure fee for the former Man City academy product.
In Liverpool news, TalkSport are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain see Joel Matip as their ideal summer signing.
PSG need a replacement for outgoing centre-back Thiago Silva, who is out of contract, and the former Cameroon centre-back is their £50 million.
Looks like Willian has played his last game for Chelsea, though he still aims to feature in the Champions League against Bayern Munich if he recovers from injury.
Goal are reporting that he has rejected their two-year offer once more and now wants to wait before making a final decision on his future.
The Brazilian has several offers, one of which was from MLS.
Newcastle are keen on another deal to bring back Danny Rose for next season, whether that's on loan or on a permanent deal.
But those hopes have suffered an apparent blow with the left-back saying he'd be happy to return to Spurs and play out the last season of his contract, according to The Northern Echo.
Leeds have also been linked with him.
Arsenal are looking to offload eight players this summer to enable a restructuring for Mikel Arteta.
Sokratis, Rob Holding, Sead Kolasinac, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, Mohamed Elneny, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are all available if bids come in to tempt the Gunners.
