Welcome to our live coverage of today’s latest transfer news, gossip and done deals as we bring you the very latest rumours from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and more.

The biggest transfer story of the window has, of course, been Manchester United’s interest in Sporting Lisbon skipper Bruno Fernandes. After weeks of little movement we are expecting that story to progress significantly in the next 48 hours, as United move to bolster their injury-hit squad. One of Wednesday’s most intriguing rumours was that Daniel Levy has contacted Real Madrid about potentially bringing Gareth Bale back to the club on loan. The Welshman would be open to the move and Real are desperate for him to leave the club – but will Spurs be able to afford his staggering wages, even if partially subsidised by the Spanish giants?

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been fairly active this month and could move for a third younger player while also continuing to monitor Timo Werner, who appears increasingly open to a move to Anfield. And Chelsea are also chasing a new striker and expect the Premier League rivals to clash over the next few days as they pursue similar transfer targets. So stick with us and follow all of the latest transfer news, gossip and done deals live below.

United and Chelsea have both been linked with Dinamo and Spain star Dani Olmo. There could also be some big moves across Europe. Real Madrid have been linked with a £68m move for Timo Werner, as well as Flamengo wonder kid Reinier, while Arsenal have turned their eyes to RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano as a long-term target.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has said that he thinks Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson wants to remain on loan at Bramall Lane for another season.

"He wants to play first-team football," Wilder said of Henderson. "Maybe I shouldn't be saying this but I'm not so sure he'll play back-up to anybody because it's just the character of the boy. Maybe he'll come out and say it. If there's a decision for Manchester United for him to come out to us for another year.

"We'd gladly take that. We've already started talking with them but he's their player and that decision will be made on behalf of Manchester United and their player but he's been outstanding for us."

Bruno Fernandes stormed down the tunnel following Sporting CP‘s exit from the Taca da Liga as his protracted move to Manchester United drags on.

The Portugal international was livid after the 2-1 semi-final defeat to Braga in what could be his final game for the club.

Negotiations have dragged on between the Portuguese giants and United, who are hopeful of securing a deal at no more than £55m before next week’s transfer deadline.

Fernandes assisted his side’s only goal of the night but looked visibly upset at full-time as he quickly made his way back to the dressing room.

A camera attempted to follow him but Fernandes instead shoved it away in disgust.

Barcelona’s new manager has admitted his club need to sign an additional forward this month.

The Catalan side are top of La Liga on goal difference but suffered a blow when Luis Suarez was ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.

And Quique Setien believes reinforcements are necessary.

“It's true we're speaking about it,” Setien said of the club’s decision to sign a striker this month. “But we still have to move things on a little bit.”
