Welcome to our live coverage of today’s latest transfer news, gossip and done deals as we bring you the very latest rumours from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and more.

The biggest transfer story of the window has, of course, been Manchester United’s interest in Sporting Lisbon skipper Bruno Fernandes. After weeks of little movement we are expecting that story to progress significantly in the next 48 hours, as United move to bolster their injury-hit squad. One of Wednesday’s most intriguing rumours was that Daniel Levy has contacted Real Madrid about potentially bringing Gareth Bale back to the club on loan. The Welshman would be open to the move and Real are desperate for him to leave the club – but will Spurs be able to afford his staggering wages, even if partially subsidised by the Spanish giants?

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been fairly active this month and could move for a third younger player while also continuing to monitor Timo Werner, who appears increasingly open to a move to Anfield. And Chelsea are also chasing a new striker and expect the Premier League rivals to clash over the next few days as they pursue similar transfer targets. So stick with us and follow all of the latest transfer news, gossip and done deals live below.

United and Chelsea have both been linked with Dinamo and Spain star Dani Olmo. There could also be some big moves across Europe. Real Madrid have been linked with a £68m move for Timo Werner, as well as Flamengo wonder kid Reinier, while Arsenal have turned their eyes to RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano as a long-term target.

Should Liverpool sign Kylian Mbappe for a cool £250m? Not according to former Red Steve McManaman.

“I’d love to see him make a move to Liverpool!” the former Reds star told HorseRacing.net.

“I’ve said for the last three or four years that he’s going to be the best around, but Liverpool are flying at the moment and they don’t necessarily need Kylian Mbappe at this moment in time.

“It’s a lot to consider for Liverpool if they are going to make this jump.

“It’s a risk. That’s exactly what it is. Have Barcelona upset their front three this season by bringing in Antoine Griezmann? Did Real Madrid do it when Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema were there?

Spurs are negotiating with Real Sociedad over a move for striker Willian Jose – here’s what the Brazilian’s agent had to say on the move last night.

“He's a Real Sociedad player. I don't comment on players from other clubs. I can only speak about my players.

“I think it's a question of respect to the coaches and the clubs where the players belong.”

To Arsenal where Dani Ceballos' loan could be about to come to an end.

The Spanish international joined from Real Madrid in the summer to much fanfare but has failed to his force his way into new manager Mikel Arteta's first team plans.

And now reports in Spain suggest the midfielder is currently in discussions with his parent club to end his stay in north London and return to the Spanish capital.

Spanish outlet AS are this morning reporting that Dani Ceballos has informed Mikel Arteta that he wishes to terminate his Arsenal loan and return to parent club Real Madrid.

Ceballos has not played since November and is yet to appear under Arteta.

And AS claim that he is desperate to leave north London to find a new loan club, in order to boost his chances of making Spain's Euro 2020 squad.

Sheffield United have already signed two players this month and are eyeing a third.

Jack Rodwell and Jack Robinson arrived at Bramall Lane this month and manager Chris Wilder is keen to get at least one other new face through the door before next week's deadline.

“We’re close,” he said. “We’re in discussions but there’s another week to go until the deadline."
