Anthony Martial opened the scoring in the first-half before Lucas Moura equalised after the break. But substitute Angel Gomes ensured United ran out winners with a goal just before full-time.

And it is indeed over as Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 1. Goals from Martial and Gomes either side of Lucas's deflected strike gives United their fourth straight win of pre-season. United deserved the result based on their performance over the game but Spurs were much improved in the second half with Son coming close a couple of times. Great performances from United's young stars as James, Greenwood, Rashford and, of course, Gomes all impressed.
