Sheffield United claimed their first win since returning to the Premier League, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 thanks to a second-half goal by John Lundstram.

The midfielder finished from close range in the 47th minute after Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita could only tip away a Luke Freeman effort into the box.

United, back in the top flight for the first time in 12 years, drew 1-1 at Bournemouth on the opening weekend.

Palace have yet to score a goal this season, having started with a 0-0 home draw against Everton. Re-live the live action below.

45+3 mins: Zaha wins Palace a free kick near the left hand side corner flag. It's sent into the box and headed clear. The game looks like it's drifting to the break before Egan and Freeman sandwich Benteke and give away a free kick. The free kick goes out and the whistle is blown.

No goals in the first half. Sheffield United's McGoldrick had the best chance of the half. He met a cross from Lundstram at the back post and failed to beat Guaita as he turned it towards goal.

He should have buried it but he didn't and things stay level at the break.

Billy Sharp is warming up on the pitch during the break, when will he make an appearance?

Second half: We're back underway. Palace could keep a clean sheet in their opening two games of a season for the first time since 1979/80.

Sheffield Utd 1 - 0 Crystal Palace - Lundstram

47 mins: GOAL! No they can't. O'Connell on the overlap gets the ball to Stevens, Stevens sends Freeman into the box. Freeman's low shot is palmed away by Guaita into the path of Lundstram who belts it home!

Sheffield Utd 1 - 0 Crystal Palace

51 mins: Zaha is clattered from behind by Egan and shoved to the floor. He's been in the wars today. A couple of free kicks get Palace up the pitch. The second one is sent into the box by Milivojevic and is then headed away by United.

Sheffield Utd 1 - 0 Crystal Palace

54 mins: Palace have upped their game since the goal, they've been more forceful in attack. Zaha keeps the ball in play on the left wing and gives it to Townsend. Townsend shoots from the edge of the box with his left foot but it's an easy ball for Henderson to take control of.

Sheffield Utd 1 - 0 Crystal Palace

57 mins: Oli McBurnie, Sheffield United's record signing this summer, comes on as Robinson leaves the pitch. The home side want a second goal and they certainly think they can get one.

Sheffield Utd 1 - 0 Crystal Palace

60 mins: United's goalkeeper Henderson is staring into the sun from his end and as a result is wearing a baseball cap. That seems to be the only thing troubling him though as Palace haven't been all that effective in the final third.

A long ball up to Baldock brings a corner for Sheffield United.
