From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Follow all the action as Arsenal travel to Austria to take on Rapid Vienna in the Europa League

Mikel Arteta’s side laboured to a 1-0 defeat against Man City last weekend, which somewhat halted the momentum of their brilliant start to the season. However, the Gunners still look vastly improved in comparison to the side who were knocked out in the round of 32 by Olympiacos last season.

Rather than the game itself, though, it’s the rumblings of discontent surrounding Mesut Ozil’s exclusion from tonight’s squad that has dominated the build-up to the fixture, with Arteta admitting that while his “conscience is calm”, he has “failed” Ozil by effectively drawing the curtain on the playmaker’s Arsenal career. Follow all the action below:

CELTIC 1-3 MILAN

Celtic’s Ryan Christie believes that they could’ve got something from their Europa League match against Milan.

The Scottish side lost 3-1 after a sluggish first half.

“I’m gutted to lose tonight, I did feel like we could have pushed forward and got an equaliser but there's positives to take from the second half,” said Christie to BT Sport following the game.

Celtic face Lille next.

TOTTENHAM 3-0 LASK LINZ

Full-time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A fairly routine win by the north London side. They were troubled on occasions, but their overall quality told on the night.

Job done in a comfortable manner.

CELTIC 1-3 MILAN

Full-time at Celtic Park.

A better performance from the Scottish side in the second half. They pushed Milan hard but just fell short, and the third goal at the end of the game killed all chance of a comeback.

CELTIC 1-3 MILAN

GOAL! A beautifully-worked goal by Milan kills any hope of a Celtic comeback.

Swift passing from the Rossoneri leads with the ball arriving into the path of debutant Hauge, who makes no mistake.

TOTTENHAM 3-0 LASK LINZ

GOAL! Son makes it 3-0 to Tottenham after a well-worked goal.

Son latches on to Vinicius’ knock-down header to angle a shot into the LASK goal.

CELTIC 1-2 MILAN

Celtic beginning to ramp up the pressure now on the Milan defence. They’ve looked much more assured in the second half.
