GOAL! Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City (Pereira OG)

A ruthless, clinical counter attack from City puts this semi-final beyond any real doubt! And we're not even at half-time in the first leg. Silva finds Mahrez, who bursts into the space ahead of him. The Algerian finds De Bruyne to his left, and he sends Jones tumbling to the ground with a clever dummy. Then he shoots on his left foot, drawing a good save from De Gea. Unfortunately for United, it cannons back off Pereira and rolls into the net.

City continue to cut through United with ease. The ball is played into Sterling on the edge of the box and his first time pass sets Silva through one-on-one with De Gea. The Spaniard makes an excellent save, but the flag is up anyway. Sterling strayed offside.
Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City

Close! De Bruyne sends a superb ball across the face of goal for Sterling, who misses the target from a few yards out. Had it gone in, VAR might have ruled it out for a marginal offside. But City are rampant at the moment and look capable of scoring a few more.

Another chance! Mahrez skips down the right unopposed and picks out Sterling in the middle. He completely mis-hits his first-time effort.
Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City

A rare forage into City's half for United as Pereira sends a tame shot over the bar. There's a subdued, almost resigned atmosphere at Old Trafford now. And they have plenty more to endure of this tie. There'll be one minute of added time in the first half.
The first half comes to a close. And City are as good as through to the Carabao Cup final already. It's been a clinical, dominant performance from Guardiola's side. United can't get near them.
United get the second half underway. Can they give themselves even a glimmer of hope ahead of the second leg?
The hosts have made a half-time change too: Nemanja Matic is on for Lingard.
Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City
47 minutes
A fast start from United as Pereira sweeps a pass through to Rashford. He's forced out wide but keeps the attack alive. Fred eventually works the ball to Williams, who sends a low shot towards goal which lacks the power to trouble Bravo.
