Palace took the lead through Andros Townsend after just seven minutes, and they doubled their advantage on 74 minutes when Wilfried Zaha netted a re-take from the penalty spot after David de Gea stepped off his line when saving Jordan Ayew’s initial effort.
United debutant Donny van de Beek came off the bench to pull one back for the hosts, but Zaha bagged his brace with five minutes remaining at Old Trafford to put the result beyond doubt. Re-live all the updates below:
90 mins: Four added minutes to play. Aubameyang takes a shot from just outside the box and he sends it straight down the goalkeepers throat.
88 mins: Haller is on for West Ham replacing Fornals. Saka has been replaced with David Luiz as Arsenal look to hold on to their lead.

85 mins: GOAL! Arsenal have struggled to create in this half but they’ve cut West Ham apart in this move. Saka dinks the ball into the box and Ceballos runs onto the end of the pass. Fabianski comes running at him but he passes the ball to Nketiah who taps it into the open net.
82 mins: Andriy Yarmolenko comes on for the final ten minutes or so replacing Jarrod Bowen for West Ham.
Masuaku flicks the ball into the box from the right, Soucek jumps over Holding and tries to win the header but the Arsenal centre-half stands his ground and Soucek goes tumbling to the floor. Arsenal clear the danger.
78 mins: Lacazette’s day is done. He got his 50th goal for Arsenal but Mikel Arteta is replacing him with Nketiah.
Saka wins a corner and Pepe swings it into the box. Arsenal win a second corner but Masuaku deals with that one as well.
74 mins: West Ham have battered Arsenal in this half, they’ve had eight shots compared to the Gunners one. All that’s lacking is a goal.
70 mins: Antonio meets a cross from West Ham and he sends a header towards the top corner. He connects well and rattles the crossbar! Leno comes to claim the rebound but he spills the ball and it’s worked to Bowen. He shoots from outside the box but only hits the wall of defenders in front of him.
66 mins: Antonio takes a shot from distance and Gabriel blocks it. The ball bounces away towards Xhaka and Soucek who clash heads as they both go for the same ball.
62 mins: Mikel Arteta makes a change. Willian comes off and Pepe replaces him. Willian has had a quietish night and Arteta is looking to liven things up.
