For all Mikel Arteta’s sweeping changes at Arsenal, they are still a side afflicted by wild swings of inconsistency. Their fabulous victory over Manchester United sent spirits sky-rocketing but a horrendous thrashing by Aston Villa proved why Arsenal remain very much a work in progress. Bellerin bursts forward on the counter attack and plays and nice pass through the middle of the centre backs. Saka storms through the gap, picks up the ball and shoots. Meslier comes off is line, forces Saka to the left side of the box and then sticks out a hand to block the shot.
