From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Follow all the action as Leeds welcome Aston Villa to Elland Road in the Premier League this afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are in high spirits after a dominant 3-0 victory against Southampton last time out, with Patrick Bamford adding a 13th league goal to his tally this season. That victory saw Leeds move 13 points clear of the relegation zone and they are now just five points adrift of sixth-placed Liverpool in what has been a brilliant first season back in the top flight.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, will be wary of succumbing to a slump in the absence of their talisman, Jack Grealish. The captain’s shin injury has seen him miss the last two matches, with Villa lucky to take a point against Brighton before losing against Leicester last weekend. Dean Smith’s side remain in a terrific position in the table, though, and a top-six finish is certainly within reach, trailing Liverpool by just four points while also boasting two games in hand. Follow all the action live below:

Man City 1 - 1 West Ham

51 mins: Lingard drives towards the box with the ball and is tackled by Fernandinho on the edge of the box. The City midfielder times his challenge well and wins the ball. He then boots it clear and is fouled by Fornals.

West Ham win the ball back and Antonio takes on Walker over on the left wing. He attempts to cross the ball and wins a corner.

Michail Antonio’s goal is the first one that Man City have conceded at home in eight games. A run stretching back to 15th December when they drew 1-1 with West Brom at the Etihad.

Man City 1 - 1 West Ham

45+1 mins: Half time. A very decent first half at the Etihad stadium. West Ham’s gameplan has worked a treat but they’ve been broken down by the quality of Kevin De Bruyne. A lovely passage of play followed where Lingard and Antonio combined again to give the Hammers an equaliser. The second half is set up perfectly.

Man City 1 - 1 West Ham - Antonio

43 mins: GOAL! It’s an equaliser! Huge goal for West Ham who deserve it for the way they’ve played in this first half. Johnson wins the ball on the West Ham left wing and passes it quickly into the middel. Coufal sprints into the right side of the box, leaving Torres in his wake as the ball is played into him. He cuts it back into Lingard who fires a shot towards the far post. It’s going wide but Antonio arrives to tap it into the back of the net.

Man City 1 - 0 West Ham

39 mins: OFF THE POST! There’s the chance for West Ham. They string together a number of passes before slotting the ball out to the right wing beating the City press. Lingard takes the ball and whips a cross into the box. Fornals misses it but the ball comes to Antonio who controls it and shoots on the turn. He connects well but fires it at the left hand post!

Man City 1 - 0 West Ham

36 mins: City look more confident now and understandably so. De Bruyne drifts over to the left side of the pitch and receives the ball. He whips a teasing ball into the six-yard box with his left foot trying to pick out Torres but Randolph throws himself at the ball and clings onto it.

Man City 1 - 0 West Ham

33 mins: That’s tough on West Ham because they were playing well and have been cut apart with a brilliant pass from Kevin De Bruyne. The Hammers need to remain patient because there are signs that they’ll get a decent chance on goal.
