While the Blues have been riding high under Thomas Tuchel, with their unbeaten streak now stretching to 13 games after comfortably beating Atletico Madrid this week to advance to the quarter-final of the Champions League.
Blades have suffered a different experience, with Chris Wilder’s departure and relegation staring them in the face, but the FA Cup provides a welcome distraction after being thumped by Leicester last time out.
The Blues will likely shuffled the pack, as has been common under Tuchel so far, but despite the progress since Frank Lampard’s departure, the former PSG and Borussia Dortmund coach is aware he needs to find the right balance between defence and attack with more cutting edge in the final third: “We lack some precision in the final third and some goals, but we’ve never lacked the work-rate against the ball, touches in the box, shots.
“Maybe we lacked composure but that’s our fault because we work so hard against the ball. It’s about balance and I believe we have that balance in how the players feel.
“We’ll never stop to think about how to create chances, offensive solutions, where to create spaces and to accelerate our attacks. But we also think about counter-pressing.”

Is Chelsea vs Sheffield United on TV today? Kick-off time, channel and how to watch FA Cup fixture
Leicester 1 - 0 Man Utd
33 mins: Maguire’s tackle earns him a yellow card but the visitors are able to defend the free kick as it comes into the box. Leicester are in the ascendancy. Man Utd seem to have been scared off since going behind with the home side seeing a lot more of the ball.
Leicester 1 - 0 Man Utd
36 mins: Paul Pogba takes the ball away from Wesley Fofana who steps on Pogba’s foot during the challenge. The Man Utd midfielder goes to ground and looks to be in pain. He punches the ground but after a breather the match continues with Pogba carrying on.
Leicester 1 - 1 Man Utd - Greenwood
38 mins: GOAL! There’s the equaliser! Telles and Pogba combine on the left wing to create a touch of space. Pogba cuts the ball into the middle of the box. Donny van de Beek hears a call and lets the ball run where Mason Greenwood is waiting. He strikes it first time and sends the ball to Schmeichel’s left, beating the goalkeeper and putting United back on terms.
Leicester 1 - 1 Man Utd
42 mins: The goal came from the first bit of attacking possession that Man Utd have had for about 10 minutes. Very much against the run of play. They’ve got the bit between their teeth now as Greenwood lays the ball off to Pogba whose effort from outside the box draws another save from Schmeichel.
Leicester 1 - 1 Man Utd
44 mins: Close. Albrighton brings the ball inside from the right and leaves it for Perez. Some fancy footwork and a cutback does for Matic before Perez lets fly and narrowly sends his effort wide of the far post.
Leicester 1 - 1 Man Utd
45+2 mins: Half time. It’s be an entertaining first half with both teams creating chances on goal. I would say Leicester have edged it in terms of performance with Man Utd making some simple errors. Still, if things continue in the same way there’s more goals to be had. It’s anyone’s game as we head into the break.
Since the start of last season, Mason Greenwood has scored 22 goals in all competitions, the most by a teenager for clubs in the top five European leagues in this time. What a talent.
It’s all still to play for at the King Power Stadium and whoever wins will know who they play in the next round as the FA Cup semi-final draw is coming up before the restart.
