From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Follow the latest updates live as Liverpool look to return to the top of the Premier League table as they take on relegation-threatened Cardiff City.

After reaching the Champions League semi-finals with ease in mid-week, Liverpool return to domestic duties looking to re-take their place at the top of the table, following Manchester City’s victory over Tottenham on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp’s side will have played a game more than City come the end of the day, but with the Manchester derby next week, Liverpool can ill-afford to drop any points.

Cardiff pose a serious threat to Liverpool though after their 2-0 win over Brighton in mid-week reignited their survival chances, and a victory would incredibly draw them level with the Seagulls with three games to play. Follow the live action below.

Cardiff vs Liverpool kicks off at 4pm on Sunday 21 April.

GOAL! Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace (Benteke 17')

The Belgian is not even marked by the Arsenal defence, and he heads home past Leno on his 200th appearance in the Premier League.

The Gunners' defence appeal for offside, but the goal stands.

A midfield tussle so far this one, and Liverpool have got into a few dangerous positions without getting much in return.

How is that not a goal for the visitors!

Lovely interchanges between Salah, Mane and Firmino sees the Senegalese play through Firmino, but he somehow puts the ball over the bar one on one.

Huge let off.

23 min: Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

No real response from Arsenal until now. Ozil plays the ball through to Aubameyang, who tees up his strike partner Lacazette.

However, the Frenchman has nothing more than an air shot and Palace clear.

Man mountain.

Liverpool starting to knock on the door from wide areas, but as yet are yet to fathom a clear cut chances from crosses.

Possession all with Liverpool though.

27 min: Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

Chance for the equaliser there! Ozil's corner from the right is nodded on at the front post by Mavropanos to Mustafi, who heads over on the stretch.

Better this though from the Gunners.

31 min: Cardiff 0-0 Liverpool

Half a chance there for Mane from Alexander-Arnold's ball from the right, and while he gets in front of his man at the near post he cannot direct his effort on target.

There's something coming you feel with this sort of domination.

31 min: Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

The home fans are clearly frustrated by the way the hosts are playing, so Mavropanos takes it upon himself to beat a few Palace men through the heart of their defence.

But having done that, the Greek gets a rush of blood to the head and drags his shot well wide.

Another chance for the visitors, and this time it is Neil Etheridge who comes to Cardiff's aid by denying Mo Salah.
