Bournemouth and Tottenham met in a bad-tempered Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino's side could have guaranteed Champions League football with a win this afternoon but debutant goalkeeper Mark Travers and red cards for Son Heung-min and Juan Foyth left them with an uphill battle.

And Nathan Ake headed what proved to be the winner in injury time as the Cherries finished their season at home with a win and leave Spurs with work to do to secure a top four spot.

Tottenham should be ahead. They push the ball out to Moura who flicks it on to Son. Son runs with the ball into the left side of the box and shoots... but sends the ball over the bar.

Spurs attack again. Son gives the ball to Rose who delivers a fine cross into the box. Alli rises and heads it towards goal but Travers leaps to his left and palms it away! Another fine save from the Irishman.

Josh King takes the ball off Dier and threatens to break away but Dier recovers to tackle him from behind. It looked like a ropey tackle but the referee sees no problem with it and lets play continue. The Bournemouth fans let their feelings known as they boo the Tottenham man.

Sissoko gets booked for a challenge on Ake. Wilson sends King forward down the left wing, King brings it into the box and tries to find Wilson, who has continued his run, but Dier sweeps his leg. No foul says the ref as Lloris dives on the ball.

Eric Dier is really riding his luck.

SON IS OFF!

This game has been heating up, Eric Dier has been lucky but this is stupid from Son. Fraser scraps with Son for the ball, loses out but Lerma follows him up with a tackle of his own. Son gets frustrated and shoves Lerma over aggressively. The referee sees it and pulls out the red card.

Two added minutes at the end of the first half and Spurs are reeling. They manage to get to half-time but they look like they've lost the plot and are down to ten men for the rest of the match.

Mark Travers has been outstanding for Bournemouth though and because of him the scores are still level.

Foyth is gone as well. He races Lerma to get to a loose ball but Simpson looks to get their first. Foyth dives in his right leg is high as he makes contact with Simpson and referee Craig Pawson pulls out a red card.
