The Gunners opened the scoring through Alexandre Lacazette, who headed home after a chipped cross from fellow forward and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, before Michail Antonio stabbed home an equaliser on the cusp of half-time.
Arsenal substitute Eddie Nketiah sealed the win for the hosts, however, striking with five minutes remaining to break West Ham hearts. Re-live all the updates here:
15 mins: United win a corner that Fernandes whips into the box. It comes to Pogba who heads it down for McTominay. McTominay gives it to James and he floats a ball into the box for Rashford but Palace head it clear.
12 mins: Man Utd have been very sloppy, they’ve given the ball away multiple times, they’re getting caught on the ball, they’re making poor tackles. Crystal Palace look sharper, stronger and fitter. Townsend cuts in from the right wing and lets fly but misses to the right of goal.
