Leicester City moved off the bottom of the Premier League with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Leeds United on Thursday, the visitors’ seventh game without a win.
Leicester’s second success of the season was secured inside 35 minutes as Robin Koch’s own goal and Harvey Barnes’s sweeping finish put the home side in command at the King Power Stadium.
Leeds ran out of steam in the second half, with home goalkeeper Danny Ward keeping their only shot on target in the match out when he blocked Liam Cooper’s close-range effort.
Leicester saw out the win with ease to move above Nottingham Forest into 19th on eight points, one point behind Leeds in 16th as Jesse Marsch’s side moved closer to the relegation zone.

Leicester City vs Leeds United
Aiming to avoid a seventh successive game without victory today, Leeds United have accrued just two points from their last six Premier League fixtures. The Whites fell to a 1-0 home defeat against Arsenal last time out, which leaves them 15th in the top-flight table. That loss versus the league leaders was their first at Elland Road this season, but they have fared far worse on the road: Jesse Marsch's men have picked up only one away point from a possible 12; losing each of their last three away games.

Leicester have still won only one Premier League game all season, after playing out a goalless draw at home to Crystal Palace last weekend. As a result, they sit rock-bottom of the table, some four points adrift of safety. While the Foxes have conceded a league-high 24 goals so far, they have at least managed to keep a clean sheet in both of their last two home matches, including this term's solitary victory, against fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest.
