Follow live coverage as Leeds United face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League today.
Manchester City are reigning champions after beating Liverpool to the finish line in a neck-and-neck 2021/22 title race where a comeback win on the final day of the season against Aston Villa secured a fourth title in five years for Pep Guardiola's side.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds were on course for a quadruple last season but were forced to settle for just an FA Cup and Carabao Cup win and will return trying to win the title again just as they did in 2020.
It was a dramatic season for Chelsea a year ago with Roman Abramovich now replaced by Todd Boehly as owner in west London. He will want an instant return on his hefty investment at Stamford Bridge while Tottenham, back in the Champions League, will want to kick on once more too.
It's not all about the action at the top though with Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest promoted to the top tier for 2021/22 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.
We will bring you all the action and updates from today's game in the live blog below:
Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest
That's all from us, we hope you enjoyed that game! We'll see you for the next one, but it's goodbye for now.
Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest
Those three points send Leeds careering up the table, rising five places from 18th to 13th. There's hardly room to breathe though, given the Peacocks are just two points above the drop zone despite the five-place cushion. Losses for Bournemouth and Leicester in corresponding fixtures means Forest remain outside the bottom three on goal difference, though if their continually poor record away from the City Ground is not addressed, more losses on the road could well prove fatal to their bid for survival.
Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest
Harrison's first-half equaliser sent Leeds on their way to victory, with the Whites' winger having an absolutely sublime performance from the right-hand side. He had four shots in total, collating a game-high xG of 0.82 and created two big chances, completing five crosses. Winning eight of his 17 duels, Harrison completed six of 11 dribbles and also won possession on seven occasions, twice coming in the final third. He also contributed defensively with two interceptions and clearances apiece, completing an all-round performance and providing Leeds with a constant, industrious threat for 90 minutes.
Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest
It's all over, and a goalless but nerve-filled second half ends with Leeds 2-1 winners at Elland Road! The Peacocks picked up where they left off in the first half, laying siege to the Forest goalmouth but being unable to find a third goal to kill the game off. Goalscorers Harrison and Sinisterra continued to be superb whenever they had the ball at their feet, and despite a raft of substitutions allowing the visitors to create some chances of their own, they never truly threatened Leeds' dominance and were second-best for large portions of the game. It's a massive three points for Leeds, as this season's uniquely tight Premier League relegation battle continues apace.
