Follow live coverage as Ipswich Town face Manchester United today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

WHAT A TACKLE!!! Fernandes releases Garnacho inside his own half and the United winger is away, but he's eventually denied by Cajuste, who slides across with brilliant timing in the box, denying him a shot and putting the ball out for a corner!

SAVED!!! Delap does brilliantly to turn, run and find Burns in space to his right, before arriving at the near post to connect with the winger's cross back in. His flick goalwards is saved brilliantly by Onana, and Morsy's follow-up shot is fired across the face of goal and wide!

Ipswich had completed 222 passes so at the time of Hutchinson's goal late in the first half, the most they've completed in a Premier League first half this season and a clear display of just how well they grew back into the game following their early setback.

SAVED!!!! The visitors go oh so close to yet another quick-fire goal! Fernandes plays Garnacho in behind and his close-range shot is parried by Muric, but the ball is still alive and heading towards goal until Burgess hammers it clear!

Hutchinson has been the creative hub behind Ipswich's comeback, producing 0.22 xG on his own and equalising with a sublime finish. The England youth international has had three shots in total, two touches in the box, and 15 passes in the final third; winning four of his six duels including two dribbles and a free-kick apiece. Gem.

A fiery, end-to-end first half comes to an end at Portman Road, with Ipswich deservedly level at 1-1 with a new-look Manchester United at the break! Ruben Amorim couldn't have dreamed of a better start, with Rashford heading home the first goal of his time in charge after just 81 seconds, but having produced just 0.40 xG, United remain level with chances for Eriksen, Garnacho, Dalot and Amad going astray. The Tractor Boys, meanwhile, have been excellent, producing 0.82 and testing Onana through Szmodics, Hutchinson and Delap's efforts before Hutchinson popped up again to curl a beauty of a strike into the top corner! It's all to play for in the second half, but it's the hosts who look more likely to come away with three points as things stand.
