From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. 77 mins: Two more substitutions as the game enters it's final stages. Poland make their first change by bringing Tomasz Jodlowiec on for Krzysztof Maczynski. Jamie Ward, meanwhile, is Northern Ireland's third substitute, replacing holding midfielder Chris Baird. It means there will be no appearance today for Will Grigg...  7eee25ac-7095-4cb1-9162-18bda4c300c0.jpg

34 mins: Germany are dictating the play now, and doing things their way. Tony Kroos is at the heart of everything, and it is turning into a passing masterclass.

36 mins: How did that not go in?! Jerome Boateng has somehow managed to clear off the line, and keep out what would have been his own goal. Yarmolenko lifted a lovely ball beyond the German defence to Konoplyanka on the left, and when the winger miskicked his shot, it ricocheted into the body of Boateng. Bouncing towards the empty net, the Bayern defender somehow repositioned his feet to loop the danger away as the Ukraine players in the vicinity screamed for a goal.f7d13e38-c4de-430d-92aa-4a67d8004875.jpgJerome Boateng - somehow - keeps Germany's lead in tact.

39 mins: Ukraine have the ball in the back of the German net, but the flag is up for offside. The World Champions were unconvincing in dealing with a corner, and when a cross was drilled back in, Artem Fedetskiy was in an illegal position. Neuer managed to save the defender's original shot, but Yarmolenko made no mistake in following up, his celebrations cut short no sooner had he raised his arms in joy.

43 mins: Ukraine are ending the first half on top, and it is undoubtedly their best spell of the game. That usually means a German goal is just around the corner.

45 mins: As Manuel Neuer confidently claims another Ukraine corner, the board for one minute of stoppage time is raised by fourth official Bobby Madden.

The action in Lille brings day three of Euro 2016 to a close, and it's been another eventful one. Beginning with Luka Modric's sensational volley to Northern Ireland's European Championship bow, and finally ending with professional performance from the World Champions, this tournament shows no sign of letting up.

And that bodes well for tomorrow when I'll be back to cover three more matches. Those includes holders Spain, who take on the Czech Republic, the Republic of Ireland returning to tournament football to face Sweden, and the highly-fancied pair of Belgium and Italy. Until then, thanks for reading and goodnight.
