Welcome to The Independent's live coverage of the international friendly between England vs Spain at Wembley.
Both sides are undefeated and top of their respective qualifying groups for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, having had disappointing Euro 2016 campaigns which ended at the last 16 stage.
England have only beaten Spain twice since the turn of the century, although one of those was a 1-0 win in 2011 with a team that featured Joleon Lescott at centre-back, Phil Jones in midfield and Darren Bent as the sole striker.
Kick-off starts at 8pm, as Gareth Southgate embarks on his final game as interim England manager...
Not long until kick-off and we should be receiving the team news from both sides very shortly.

England: Hart; Clyne, Cahill, Stones, Rose; Henderson, Dier; Sterling, Lallana, Lingard; Vardy.
Spain: Reina; Azpilicueta, Bartra, Nacho, Monreal; Busquets; Koke, Thiago; Vitolo, Aduriz, Isco
So Jamie Vardy makes his first start since Euro 2016 tonight in place of Daniel Sturridge. Sturridge looked impressive against Scotland and grabbed a goal with a fine header. Vardy will offer more on the break tonight though, which will be important against the possession-hogging Spaniards.
