Player to watch…

Dario Benedetto: The 28-year-old was Boca Juniors’ main threat in the first leg after coming off the bench and popped up with the goal in added at time at the end of the first half to put the hosts back ahead. The striker may have missed a golden opportunity to win the game in stoppage time, but he will hope to put that behind him at the Bernabeu having successfully come back from injury.

Odds…

River Plate to win: 31/20

Boca Juniors to win: 2/1

Draw: 7/4

River Plate 1-1 Boca Juniors

71 minutes

River look the more likely to go on and win this now. Quintero has had a positive impact since his introduction, while Boca appear to have lost some belief. Twenty minutes left and it's level at 3-3 on aggregate.

Another River change: Montiel makes way for Mayada.

River Plate 1-1 Boca Juniors

77 minutes

River look more energetic, more purposeful than Boca. They're pressing with aggression off the ball and not allowing their opposition any time and space.

River Plate 1-1 Boca Juniors

78 minutes

Boca are awarded an indirect free kick after Nandez shoots and hits Pinola's outstretched foot instead of the ball. It's a strange decision, but a big chance for Boca.

Eventually, the set piece is taken and it's an anticlimax. Olaza drills it tamely at the wall and River clear.

Frustration for River. Fernandez goes into the book and Boca have another free kick, this time around 30 yards out.

Again, the free kick is wasted. This has, at least, taken some of the pressure off Boca and given some respite to their defenders.

Maidana goes through the back of Abila and picks up a yellow card. It's getting scrappy as we approach what looks like 30 minutes of extra time.

The yellow cards are coming thick and fast now. Barrios wrestles Martínez to the ground on the halfway line to stop an attack. Boca's players look very tired, so extra time might not be ideal for them.

Fernando Gago, formerly of Real Madrid, comes on in place of Perez for Boca.
