The 2023/24 Premier League season is under way and you can follow every game and every goal right here with The Independent.

This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.

Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur

Muniz's brace helps Fulham to a 3-0 victory over Spurs. The Brazilian opened the scoring just before half-time when he latched onto Robinson's brilliant low cross and sent it into the far bottom corner. Spurs struggled to get going in the first half, and they were punished for an even slower start to the second as Fulham tripled their lead within the first 16 minutes. Lukic scored his first goal for the club with a close-range tap-in before Muniz got his second of the game just after the hour-mark when he bundled it over the line. Postecoglou made changes, and they attempted to fight back, but Werner fired wide from two yards out, with Richarlison also missing a late chance to get a consolation. Fulham stay 12th but are now just two points off the top half of the table, and they'll travel to Sheffield United in their next game after the international break. Spurs miss out on the chance to move fourth and leapfrog Villa, who could reopen the gap to fifth to five points tomorrow. They host Luton Town next time out. That's all for today, goodbye!

Spurs have looked to their right side a lot, with 42.7 per cent of their attacks coming from this side, and Porro pushes forward once more. He lays it off to Lo Celso on the edge of the box, but he curls his shot straight into Leno's gloves.

GOOD SAVE! It turns out, Fulham aren't done quite yet as Willian slides a brilliant throughball into Wilson, who gets in front of Dragusin. He's one-on-one with Vicario, but the keeper rushes out to smother his shot.

WIDE! It's a wonderful bending run from Kulusevski from the right to get inside Robinson, and he nods down the cross into a good area. Nobody spots Richarlison as he darts onto it, but he volleys his first-time shot wide of the near post.
