From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Arsenal and West Ham meet for the second time in seven days, having played out a 0-0 draw at the London Stadium last week, as the two sides go head to head tonight in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

Arsenal, as expected in the previous fixture, dominated possession but were unable to break down a stubborn West Ham team that restricted Arsenal to a mere three shots on target. David Moyes will want a similarly committed display against an Arsenal side that Arsene Wenger will be sure to rotate ahead of a tough fixture against Liverpool at the Emirates on Friday.

We are just over five minutes from kick-off at the Emirates and King Power stadiums!

Which two of the four teams in action tonight will reach the last four? Stay right here to find out.

1' - We are underway in tonight's two Carabao Cup semi-final clashes!

Just a reminder that our primary focus is Arsenal vs West Ham from the Emirates but we'll be chucking in important updates from the game at the King Power Stadium as Leicester host Manchester City.

7' - Not too much to report on so far from the Emirates.

West Ham just had a decent counter-attack but Javier Hernandez's cross from the left was well blocked by Calum Chambers.

12' - The start of this match hasn't been too thrilling. Arsenal have been camped inside the West Ham half for the majority of the early stages but Joe Hart is yet to make a save.

15' - Danny Welbeck has Arsenal's first shot in anger from distance but James Collins makes a good block and the ball goes behind for a corner, which comes to nothing for the hosts.

21' - Mathieu Debuchy finds Olivier Giroud in the box with an incisive low cross but the Frenchman's first touch lets him down and James Collins manages to clear the danger.

It's been all Arsenal so far.

GOAL ALERT! Leicester 0-1 Manchester City (Bernardo Silva, 26)

That's a lovely goal.

The Premier League leaders take the lead at the King Power Stadium and it's Bernardo Silva who applies the finishing touches from 12 yards after a super run and pass by Ilkay Gundogan.

30' - This game really doesn't have the feel of a London derby. There's been a distinct lack of quality in the opening half-an-hour. We're yet to have a single shot on target from either side.
