Everton striker Neal Maupay was recalled to the starting line-up for the relegation clash at home to Leeds. The £15m summer signing was left on the bench for Monday’s Merseyside derby defeat at Anfield but manager Sean Dyche denied it had been because of the forward’s red card in a behind-closed-doors friendly the previous week.
Maupay replaced Ellis Simms as the only change, while managerless Leeds fielded the same side which lost to Manchester United last weekend.

Everton vs Leeds United
Everton move out of the drop zone and are up two places into 16th, but are just one point clear of West Ham. They've won back-to-back home games, and host Aston Villa next weekend. Leeds are now winless in 10 Premier League games and drop to 19th. It's another big game on Saturday, as they host bottom-of-the-table Southampton.
Everton vs Leeds United
Everton are out of the bottom three after Coleman's goal seals a 1-0 win over Leeds. It was a fairly quiet first half in terms of chances, though the hosts did see two shots by Coady and Maupay cleared off the line in quick succession. Everton pushed in the second half and it was a brilliant goal that sealed the win. Coleman, from the tightest of angles on the right of the box, caught out Meslier and curled it into the far side of the net. Leeds didn't manage a single shot on target in the game.
