Follow live reaction as Everton came from two goals down at half-time to beat Crystal Palace and secure their Premier League safety at a raucous Goodison Park.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s 85th minute winner rescued Frank Lampard’s side and sparked a pitch invasion from the home supporters, after goals from Michael Keane and Richarlison pulled them level.

At half-time, and with Burnley leading Aston Villa, Everton were facing the possibility of needing to go to Arsenal on the final day of the season and getting a result.

Despite making a positive start in what was a noisy atmosphere at Goodison Park, the visitors took the lead when Jean-Philippe Mateta was allowed space to score a free header from Eberechi Eze’s free-kick.

It went from bad to worse for Everton as Jordan Ayew, who was fortunate to escape a red card for a high challenge on Anthony Gordon, punished a series of defensive mistakes to double Palace’s lead.

Michael Keane got one back after half-time to spark the comeback, and Richarlison equalised with 15 minutes of normal time remaining with a scrambled finish. But Calvert-Lewin’s header was greeted by wild scenes - which continued at full-time as the Toffees celebrated staying in the Premier League.

GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Leicester (Alonso 35’)

From one wing-back to another, and Chelsea are level. Reece James flights a lovely angled pass to the back post where Marcos Alonso arrives to volley Chelsea all square.

HT: Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace

That’s half-time. It’s been a nightmare 45 minutes for Everton.

Goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Andre Ayew have given Crystal Palace a 2-0 lead at the break.

Everton have been utterly woeful since the opening quarter of an hour.

So much work for Frank Lampard to do in his half-time team talk.

One-way traffic.

Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace

45+3 mins: Pickford launches a long ball up to Calvert-Lewin who climbs well and nods it down but Mitchell is in front of Gordon to clear.

Palace look so comfortable when the ball is worked into their final third.

There’s a handball appeal. Mykolenko sends a cross in and it hits Schlupp’s leg and onto his arm. Would have been incredibly harsh. No chance it’s given by VAR.

Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace

45+2 mins: Four minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half.

Hughes is hauled back by Gomes on the halfway line and Palace win another free-kick. Everton have been guilty of that far too often in this 45 minutes of football.

The Toffees have now conceded 61 goals in 37 games this season. Simply not good enough.

Aston Villa 0-0 Burnley

NIck Pope is keeping Burnley in it at Villa Park. A stunning save to deny a rising John McGinn volley is the latest example in a fine series of stops. It remains goalless with 30 minutes played.

Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace

45 mins: Decent move from Everton. Their first in the last half an hour.

It’s worked out nicely to Mykolenko who sends a dangerous cross into the middle and Richarlison is falling backwards but still manages to get a header goalwards which loops narrowly over the top.

Better from the hosts but they are still a way off getting back into this one.

Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace

43 mins: Everton are given the opportunity to break as Guehi plays a slack pass to Gordon. The young winger sprints onto it but Mitchell is back superbly to take the ball off him on the edge of the area. Great defending.

Everton look to send the ball long up to Calvert-Lewin but he can’t keep it and Palace easily win possession back.

No sign of an Everton comeback. They need half-time.

Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace

40 mins: It has been total one-way traffic since the opening 10 minutes or so. Palace have utterly dominated Everton at Goodison Park.

Alex Iwobi has come from the left into central midfield as the hosts look to get control of the game.

Gomes tries his luck from the edge of the area but Butland gets down smartly to save and hold onto the ball.

Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace

38 mins: Frank Lampard looked absolutely crestfallen when that second goal went in.

Everton now need three goals if they are going to avoid a relegation battle on the final day.

GOAL! Everton 0-2 Crystal Palace (Ayew, 36)

36 mins: IT’S ALL GOING WRONG FOR EVERTON!

Moments after Ayew could have been sent off he makes it 2-0! Coleman slips and Palace break.

It’s cut back into the penalty area and when the initial effort is saved by Pickford it falls for Ayew who bundles the ball over from close range.
