Leaders Juventus extended their Serie A unbeaten run to 16 games as Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty secured a hard-earned 1-0 win at rivals Torino.

The Bianconeri showed no hangover from their surprise midweek Champions League loss away to Swiss club Young Boys, rallying to extend their lead over Napoli, who play on Sunday, to 11 points.

Ronaldo made the breakthrough from the spot during the second half after Torino substitute goalkeeper Salvador Ichazo had tripped Mario Mandzukic.

The Croatian striker saw a goal disallowed for offside after a Video Assistant Review, but Massimiliano Allegri's men went on to close out a hard-earned three points.

Torino swing in another dangerous corner, which requires some astute defending. They want to edge in front before the break.

Half time: That's it for the first half. Torino will be the happier of the two sides. They haven't allowed Juventus to settle, to find any sort of rhythm, and they've forced some good defending from Chiellini and co. Ronaldo had the best chance of the half, though, and Juventus only need a moment to take the lead.

Torino 0-0 Juventus

46 minutes

Early chance for Juventus. Ronaldo picks out Dybala, who squares for Matuidi. The Frenchman is off balance when he shoots, though, and his effort floats over the bar.

The free kick is aimed towards Belotti, but De Sciglio deals with the threat well.

Can is in the book now. It's almost a carbon copy of Pjanic's foul on Belotti, who again was breaking forward at pace.
