Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Speaking after his side's defeat at the weekend, Ranieri remained similarly upbeat as he praised Leicester's reaction to conceding two early goals.

“I think that we had a very fantastic reaction [after falling two goals down],” he said.

Claudio Ranieri at Vicarage Road

“We had a fantastic reaction. Against us today there was a big wall to stop all of our shots on goal. But am I very pleased with our performance.

“This spirit of the team is fantastic. I am proud of them, of course we lost the match but the spirit is the same, the spirit is high.”

A resurgent Radamel Falcao will once again be leading the Monaco front line. As discussed by Jack Pitt-Brooke, the Colombian will be the man to keep an eye out for tonight. It certainly doesn't help that Tottenham are fielding one of their weakest looking defences in weeks. Neither Kyle Walker or Jan Vertonghen start while Eric Dier drops back to form a questionable-looking centre-back partnership with Kevin Wimmer. Falcao won't believe his luck...

Pochettino has just spoken to BT about his curious team selection: “We always try to select the best team. We picked different players for different reasons. We have a strong squad. Today we believe this is best starting eleven to get three points.”

Not giving much away there are you Poch...
