From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Manchester United were outclassed as Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus overcame Jose Mourinho's men in a Champions League clash that was worryingly one-sided at times.

It had been 15-and-a-half years since the most decorated sides from England and Italy last met in a competitive fixture, but anyone watching Tuesday's Old Trafford encounter will be under no illusion who is now in the better health.

Juventus toyed with United at times as Ronaldo enjoyed a winning return to his old stomping ground, with his cross leading to Paulo Dybala's goal on an evening that sometimes threatened to be far worse worse than the eventual 1-0 scoreline.

What time does it kick-off?

Manchester United vs Juventus starts at 8pm.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be shown live on BT Sport.

What are the odds?

Manchester United win 2/1

Draw 9/4

Juventus win 6/4

Big games

It's an important evening for both Manchester clubs. A win for United would see them move above Juventus in the Group H standings, while City are still recovering from a slow start to their campaign. They know that a result at Shakhtar tonight could be crucial.

Elsewhere

Manchester United will be pleased to hear that Valencia have been held to a 1-1 draw by Young Boys in Switzerland. Bayern Munich were also in action in the early kick-offs, and they saw off AEK Athens with a 2-0 win.

Manchester United arrive late again as Jose Mourinho walks to Old Trafford for Juventus clash

United met at the Hotel Grand - some 250 yards away from Old Trafford - to ensure that they would arrive on time.

The teams are out ahead of the 8pm kick offs. We're moments away from what promises to be a dramatic night of Champions League football...

Manchester United 0-0 Juventus

And we've kicked off - after a slight delay - at Old Trafford.

Shakhtar Donetsk 0-0 Manchester City

The visitors make a quick start and David Silva sees a shot land on the roof of the net. City look lively.

Manchester United 0-0 Juventus

Delays have been the story at Old Trafford thus far. Rashford wins a free kick in a promising position, but Juan Mata can't take it because a fan decides to run onto the pitch.

Nothing comes of it anyway.

Manchester United 0-0 Juventus

It's been a promising start for United. They've been on the front foot, had a couple of set pieces, and largely penned the visitors in.

Manchester United 0-0 Juventus

The first sign of danger from Juventus. Luke Shaw tries an ambitious pass out of defence but can only pick out Miralem Pjanić. He feeds Dybala, but the Argentine is dispossessed in the box.
