Raheem Sterling scored an 11-minute hat-trick and had a hand in all five goals as Manchester City came from behind to thump Italian side Atalanta 5-1 in their Champions League Group C encounter on Tuesday.
Forward Sergio Aguero also scored two in the first half at the City of Manchester Stadium, but England winger Sterling was the star of the show as the home side made it three wins from three to open up a five-point lead at the midway point of the pool.
Atalanta have now lost all three of their group matches in their debut season in the Champions League, but started brightly and had the lead via a Ruslan Malinovsky penalty.
City were ruthless in their response though and drove forward. They finished the game with 10 men after teenager Phil Foden received a second yellow card on 83 minutes.

Kyle Walker may be available, too, while Fernandinho could be rested after a busy couple of months as emergency cover in central defence. Phil Foden could feature as he presses for more game time.
Predicted line-up
Manchester City: Ederson; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi, Benjamin Mendy; Rodri, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.
Odds
Manchester City: 2/9
Draw: 6/1
Atalanta: 12/1
Prediction
Manchester City should have the quality to beat the Italians, but Atalanta are better than their first two Champions League results suggest.
Expect a relatively open game, with Manchester City prevailing 4-2.
Manchester City 5-1 Atalanta
76 minutes
Foden is booked for a foul on Malinovskiy, which Guardiola isn't very happy about.
Manchester City 5-1 Atalanta
79 minutes
Muriel beats Stones and makes his way all the way to the byline, prodding the ball across goal. Otamendi hacks it away before any Atalanta players can get there.
Manchester City 5-1 Atalanta
83 minutes
An awful way to end the game for Phil Foden! He tugs De Roon's shirt and gets a second yellow. The City fans and Guardiola are furious, though. The first yellow was a questionable decision and it's harsh on the teenager.
Manchester City 5-1 Atalanta
86 minutes
Malinovskiy shoots from distance and it flies tamely over the bar.
Manchester City 5-1 Atalanta
90 minutes
There'll be three minutes of added time.
Manchester City 5-1 Atalanta
90+2 minutes
Freuler breaks into the box and gets a shot off, but Ederson does well to parry it away. City clear the resulting corner. But Atalanta keep the attack alive and Otamendi is penalised for a foul on Muriel just outside the box. He goes into the book for it, too.
Manchester City 5-1 Atalanta
90+3 minutes
Muriel hits a low shot from the free-kick which Ederson pushes away. The corner that follows flashes past everyone and City come away with the ball.
Full time: That's it! A dominant victory for City in the end, despite a strong start to the game from the visitors. Guardiola's side make it three wins from three in Group C and look on course to qualify for the last 16 with ease. A hat-trick for Sterling and brace for Aguero were the highlights of this win, although Rodri's injury and Foden's red card were blemishes on an otherwise excellent night for City.
Atalanta, meanwhile, are still without a point in the group.
