Your support makes all the difference.Gabriel Jesus grabbed a hat-trick as Manchester City, aided by a farcical penalty decision, edged closer towards the Champions League last 16 by thrashing Shakhtar Donetsk 6-0.
City were leading 1-0 through David Silva in the Group F encounter at the Etihad Stadium when Raheem Sterling stubbed his toe and fell over to earn a freak spot-kick which Jesus converted.
Shakhtar had a right to feel aggrieved but they were otherwise outplayed for a second time in two weeks by City, who made victory certain through Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and two more Jesus strikes.
It was a performance that suggested whatever negativity might surround City following a series of allegations about their financial affairs in recent days, none of it is affecting Pep Guardiola or his players.
The result also ensured they will go into Sunday’s derby against Manchester United in good heart, with the bonus of having rested the likes of Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane, Benjamin Mendy and Vincent Kompany.

Rodrigo Bentancur's shot is more firmly struck but also blocked, ricocheting away for a corner.
Juventus 0-0 Manchester United, 10 minutes
The corner is again poor but Juventus soon put their opponents in peril again, with Ashley Young a little lost at right-back.

First booking of the night, and Nemanja Matic was always a likely recipient.
He slides crudely into Dybala and the Romanian referee pulls out the card.

Juventus 0-0 Manchester United, 16 minutes
In Turin the game has settled into more of a lull. Manchester United are still seeing more of the ball, but the Juventus defence has been relatively unthreatened.
Cristiano Ronaldo's speculative drive is wide of the right-hand post.
Juventus 0-0 Manchester United, 18 minutes
Paulo Dybala and Miralem Pjanic stand over a dead ball on the right wing.
