Couldn't have put it better myself. Certainly no cries of 'attack, attack, attack', in this one.
26 mins: 65% possession for Manchester City so far, but the majority of the early all guns blazing approach seems to have ceased some what, as they begin to get their passing play together. Hoffenheim having less chances of their own in recent moments.
30 mins: A succession of Manchester City corners leads to Kompany heading into the arms of Baumann. Hoffenheim penned in now, but as of yet City cannot find the crucial final pass or piece of quality necessary to break through.
Laporte has been bright down the left, and Sterling has also used his pace to good effective in the first half an hour here.
33 mins: GOAL! Juventus 2-0 Young Boys (Paulo Dybala)
Juventus and Dybala have their second of the evening. He capitalises on the Young Boys goalkeeper error who parries a powerful effort from Matuidi, leaving Dybala to coolly finish.
Juventus cruising. Manchester City finding Hoffenheim trickier opponents.
36 mins: Fernandinho goes into the book for a block on Demirbay as the home side break forward
39 mins: CLOSE! Suddenly Manchester City have some defending to do, and Laporte doesn't exactly emerge with glory. HIs mistake almost gifts Belfodil a second goal, but Ederson saves and Fernandinho can clear upfield
HALF TIME: Hoffenheim 1-1 Manchester City
Ishak Belfodil put Hoffenheim ahead within 44 seconds in a frantic opening here, but Sergio Aguero responded for Manchester City inside eight minutes. Plenty of chances for Manchester City, but given the fragile appearance of their defence, Hoffenheim will feel that they could be ahead.
All to play for in the second half, particularly given City's loss to Lyon in their Champions League opener.
