From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Cristiano Ronaldo continues his search for a first goal since joining Juventus in the summer as they take on Sassuolo in Serie A looking to maintain their perfect start to the season.

The £100m acquisition has not been able to rekindle his incredible goalscoring feat from his Real Madrid days since arriving in Turin, but manager Massimiliano Allegri believes today is the day for Ronaldo to break his duck after insisting “he will score” against Sassuolo. Ronaldo should at least head into the game fresh as he was left out of the Portugal squad during the international break in order to focus on his new club, having shown signs of fatigue after his World Cup commitments.

But the Modena-based Sassuolo are one of the surprise packages in Italy this season, as they head to the Allianz Stadium unbeaten this season following wins over Genoa and Inter Milan and a 2-2 draw with Cagliari.

We're an hour away from kick at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, where first play second in the Italian Serie A as Juventus take on Sassuolo, who'd have thought that at the beginning of the season?

Cristiano Ronaldo will no doubt be a major feature for the home side but can he find his first goal for the club since signing in the summer, stay with us to find out

Juventus have had a great start to the season despite not yet clicking in key areas but three wins from three sees them secure at the top of the table.

Former Liverpool man, Emre Can, who signed on a free this summer looks set to make his first start. Can has been replacing Miralem Pjanic and it looks like Pjanic is going to get a rest after being out on international duty with Can stepping in for Juve’s No. 5 in the starting lineup.

This is a big deal as there’s an expectation that he will become a regular starter sooner rather than later.

And here is confirmation of that starting XI place for Emre Can:

Who will they be facing? I here you ask, never fear for we also have the Sassuolo starting line up

Sassuolo are undefeated this season as well, slaying Inter Milan 1-0 in the first week before scoring 3 goals in six minutes to sink Genoa 5-3 just before the International break.

They face a tough 90 minutes away from home today but what do Roberto De Zerdi's men have in store for us?

He was one of my favourite players to watch at the World Cup this summer but Cuadrado starts on the bench for Juve, here's hoping he can make an impact if he gets a chance today

3 mins: Juventus 0 - 0 Sassuolo

Juve have started quickly, they're pressing Sassuolo high up the pitch and refusing to let them settle Khedira wins the ball back for Juve after another mistake from Consigli as he tries to clear, but Rogerio defends well and Sassuolo have the ball
