Serie A leaders Juventus welcome Roma to Turin as the first of three games for Massimiliano Allegri's side in the next seven days before the winter break.

Juventus find themselves 22 points above Roma in the table, and their home draw to Genoa remains the only blemish on their otherwise perfect league record this season.

Eusebio Di Francesco's team meanwhile have lost all of their previous seven visits to the stadium and have won just twice in their last eight league games, the latest of which came against Genoa last weekend.

Player to watch…

Cristiano Ronaldo: The Portuguese decided the Turin derby in favour of his side with a well-taken penalty against Torino last weekend. It was his 12th goal in all competitions since joining the club from Real Madrid in the summer, and ensured that Juventus ground out a victory despite a lacklustre performance to extend their lead over second-placed Napoli to 11 points.

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the Saturday night fixture in Serie A between Juventus and Roma.

The Turin side are 22 points ahead of the capital side, and have just dropped two points in the league all season.

Roma have never won at the Allianz Stadium in seven attempts, but record are there to be broken right?

Now, where are those teams?

Kishan Vaghela22 December 2018 18:39

Well, here they are.

If you need a reminder at just what this game means, we only need to look at last year.

Juventus' near 100% record has been well-documented as Massimiliano Allegri's side seem to overcome the obstacles that are placed in front of them.

The league leaders have come through challenges at Fiorentina, Inter Milan and the Turin derby and scored five goals altogether in those games without reply.

Today against Roma and Atalanta on Boxing Day ends what was billed as a tricky month for Juventus, and very few would bet against them remaining undefeated before the winter break.

Roma however have not quite hit the heights expected of them, as they sit some way behind their opponents tonight in the Serie A table.

Eusebio Di Francesco's side lie in 9th, four points off the Champions League places, and have drawn two of their last three league fixtures.

They may enjoy an extended run in this season's Champions League after drawing Porto on Monday, but the priority will surely be making it for next year's competition.

Kick off in just over 20 minutes time.

So, just ten minutes till kick-off. Can Roma put any doubt into the minds of the leaders before the winter break?

Or will Juventus keep up this scintillating home record and make it eight consecutive wins?

So, the players are making their way out for the latest edition of this historic Serie A fixture.

A couple of former Roma players in the Juventus lineup today, with Miralem Pjanic and Wojciech Szczesny having represented the capital side.

All set as the sides walk out to a fantastic display from the crowd.

A true legend.

1 min: Juventus 0-0 Roma

We're underway at the Allianz Stadium. The final Serie A game before Christmas, so what does it have in store for us?

Kishan Vaghela22 December 2018 19:32

4 min: Juventus 0-0 Roma

Eusebio Di Francesco is a man under pressure, with rumours that he would have been sacked had Roma lost against Genoa last week.

However, his side have made a nervous start here and only a Kostas Manolas intervention prevents Ronaldo, who was lurking at the back post, from converting Mario Mandzukic's header across goal.
