From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

What time does it start?

The match kicks off at 7:45pm on Tuesday 8th May

Where can I watch it?

It will be shown live on BT Sport 2 with coverage beginning at 7pm. Highlights will be shown at 00:00 midnight the same evening.

It’s a big game for…

Kylian Mbappe. The 18-year-old forward has quickly transformed from Monaco’s young star to the man who represents their best chance of success in Turin. Having conceded two away goals, Monaco will need to go for broke in attempt to take an early lead against the Italian champions, and it is Mbappe’s pace, skill and goalscoring prowess which gives his side the best chance of doing that.

Best stat

Juventus have won all of their last eleven knockout ties against French opposition.

Player to watch...

Leonardo Bonucci. The centre half is central to Juventus’ famed defensive record, which has seen them concede just 23 goals in 35 domestic games and, unbelievably, only two in a Champions League run which includes keeping a clean sheet over two legs against Barcelona. He is outstanding both physically and technically, with the ability to prioritise defensively but provide a platform with his passing. Monaco have an uphill task overturning the two goal deficit with Bonucci and Co. in their way.

Past three meetings…

74 mins: Tempers have really started to boil over. Which from a Juventus standpoint is utterly ridiculous, as they're cruising their way into the final and just risk suspensions for lashing out.

Higuain and Glik have a coming together, with the latter stamping on the Argentinian forward. Higuain isn't happy .. but just about controls his temper.

77 mins: Juventus are beginning to press forward again, perhaps a little stung after losing that fine run without conceding to Monaco.

Cuadrado springs forward and chips the ball into the path of Higuain, but he makes a right Horlicks of his overhead kick attempt. He ends up flat on his arse; the ball ends up crossing the line for a goal-kick.

80 mins: Glik is being soundly booked after his clash with Higuain a few moments ago.

84 mins: Allegri is ringing the changes with the finish line in sight. Benatia replaces Barzagli.

87 mins: Can Juventus make it three on the night? Cuadrado is hacked down on the edge of the box and they have a free-kick from around 25-yards out, over to the right...

89 mins: Pjanic shoots - but his lofted attempt hits the wall and deflects wide for a corner.
