From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

Chelsea hold the advantage after the first leg of the Europa League last-32 tie with Malmo.

Ross Barkley opened the scoring in southern Sweden before Olivier Giroud doubled the lead in the second-half. The hosts grabbed a goal back late to give them a foothold ahead of next week's second leg, however.

Well, there's no upset in Sweden, with Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud's goals seeing Chelsea heading back home with a 2-1 victory.

Barkley scored with the first shot on target, while Giroud's flick at the near post looked to have finished off Malmo.

Anders Christiansen's goal will take a little gloss off the victory, but Maurizio Sarri will be confident of qualifying for the last 16 at Stamford Bridge next Thursday.

Thank you very much for joining me, Kishan Vaghela, this evening.

Mixed results for the English sides this evening, with Arsenal losing 1-0 at BATE Borisov, but there was better news for Chelsea who won 2-1 away in Malmo.

Thanks for joining us and keep your eyes peeled for player ratings from Chelsea's win.

Have a nice evening.
