From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. What time is it?
Kick-off at the Allianz Arena is 19.45 BST.
Where can I watch it?
BT Sport 3 will be broadcasting the game. Coverage starts at 19.00
It’s a big game for…
Thomas Muller. With Robert Lewandowski out of tonight's game, the responsibility of leading Bayern's front line could now fall to Thomas Muller. The forward has not featured in the side's last two games but bagged two in their 6-0 rout of FC Augsburg at the start of the month. Muller may lack the athleticism and grace of Lewandowski, but the German certainly has the ability to make a difference this evening if picked to start.
Remember when…
Bayern were humiliated in their own back yard? Madrid fired four past the Germans, courtesy of a brace apiece from Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo, to book their place in the 2014 Champions League final.

(Odds provided by Bet 888)
15 mins: It's been a very fractious first 15 minutes at the Allianz Arena. Boateng jumps into a challenge with Benzema around 30-yards out from goal and concedes the free-kick.
Ronaldo and Marcelo stand menacingly over the ball.
16 mins: Ronaldo strikes it ... and it's a fairly woeful effort. He gets far too much on it and the ball is still rising as it long after clearing the crossbar.
18 mins: Madrid almost take the lead! Ronaldo may have wasted the free-kick but Zidane's side have been much improved over the last five-minutes, and almost go in front when Benzema connects with a punt into the box at the back post.
He heads downwards, with Neuer getting the slightest of touches as the ball rises back up, directing the ball onto the crossbar.
20 mins: Madrid with the majority of the early possession: 52% to 48%.
Leicester are still being given the runaround in Madrid, just look at these statistics after 20 minutes of play:
Possession: Atletico 75%-25% Leicester
Shots: Atletico 9-0 Leicester
On target: Atletico 3-0 Leicester
Corners: Atletico 1-0 Leicester
Fouls: Atletico 0-3 Leicester
But they're level when it comes to the only stat that matters. Both games remain 0-0.
22 mins: Most of Bayern's early chances are being fashioned down the right, where Robben, Lahm and Muller are combining nicely.
They go close when Lahm steals into the box and looks to back-heel the ball to Robben, but it's whipped off his toes just as he's about to trap the ball.
Alaba then has an optimistic crack from distance. Wide.
24 mins: When a club is sharing pics like these as the highlights of the half, you know it's been a fairly one-sided game:
The evening's other game has been anything but one-sided, however. Bayern have just won themselves a corner.
GOAL! Bayern Munich 1 (Vidal '25) Real Madrid 0
Bayern are in front! Vidal heads home the corner to give the home side the lead.
27 mins: What a goal that was.
Thiago Alcántara whipped in a fantastic in-swinging corner and Vidal climbed above Carvajal to plant an absolutely thumping header beyond Navas and into the net.
First blood to Bayern.
GOAL! Atletico Madrid 1 (Griezmann 28) Leicester City 0
The English champions fall a goal behind in Spain. Albrighton failed Griezmann in the area and the Frenchman coolly slotted home the penalty.
