Patrick Vieira made two changes to the Crystal Palace side that lost 1-0 to Aston Villa last time out. Skipper Luka Milivojevic replaced midfielder Cheick Doucoure, who was sent off in that match, while Eberechi Eze made way for Jeffrey Schlupp, who returned to the starting XI after he was unavailable against Villa.

England defender John Stones returned to the Manchester City line-up for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury in late January, in one of two changes for Pep Guardiola. Bernardo Silva was also re-introduced to the starting XI, while Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne started on the bench.

We will bring you all the action and updates from today's game in the live blog below:

Manchester City will look to keep legs fresh in the second half ahead of a Champions League tie on Tuesday and look to catch the Palace defence tiring. De Bruyne would be an obvious addition if Guardiola’s side fail to take the lead early after the restart, while Alvarez will more than likely see action. Crystal Palace have Eze on the bench should they wish to switch one of the three behind the striker, while Edouard or Mateta could play a more traditional role at the top-end of the pitch.

An entertaining first half despite relatively little in the way of goal-mouth action, Crystal Palace and Manchester City take a nil-nil draw into the interval. As expected, the visitors dominated in both possession and shot statistics, but they failed to trouble Guaita with a meaningful effort despite eight shots; all off-target. Crystal Palace were resolute and organised in the face of the oncoming waves of attacks but Zaha and Olise were unable to get anything going via counter-attacks or set-pieces - the two most likely ways for Palace to score in this match.

Crystal Palace are winless in their last seven Premier League home games against Manchester City (D2 L5), since a 2-1 win in April 2015. They've failed to score in five of these seven games, including each of the last three.

Foden sweeps a free-kick to the back post with great shape but Ayew is first to the ball, popping it straight up in the air before controlling the ball and taking it to the corner-flag. With a bit of trickery, he manages to hold possession in the face of two pressing Manchester City players, before winning a goal-kick.

After clearing the initial set-piece, Crystal Palace give up another corner - with Foden instead of Gundogan tasked with taking it. Floated to the back post for Stones, the right-back is unable to direct his knock-down to a team-mate, allowing the hosts to clear.
