Liverpool head to Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, hoping for a third win in a week to start to put pressure back on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. Victory for the Reds would leave them nine points adrift of the reigning champions with a game in hand, following their draw with Southampton on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp’s team have rediscovered form of late after a slight stutter, beating Brentford last weekend before dispatching Arsenal in midweek to reach the Carabao Cup final.

For Palace, this has undoubtedly been a season of progress and putting into place building blocks for an exciting-looking future, after a summer squad overhaul and the appointment of Patrick Vieira as manager. They sit 13th in the table, with just one win from the last five following a draw at Brighton last time out.

Victory would push the Eagles back into the top half, though the scale of their task is underlined by the fact the Reds have emerged triumphant in all of the last nine competitive meetings between these two teams, including a 3-0 win at Anfield in September and a 7-0 thrashing at Selhurst Park last term. Follow all the team news and match action as Crystal Palace host Liverpool below:

Chelsea 0 - 0 Tottenham

Tottenham have won just one of their last 31 away league games against Chelsea (D10 L20), winning 3-1 in April 2018 with current boss Antonio Conte in charge of the Blues that day.

They’re 0-0 at half-time. Can they go on to in for a second time today?

Half-time: Chelsea 0 - 0 Tottenham

45+3 mins: Nothing to separate the teams as the whistle goes for half-time. Harry Kane stolls over to the referee to discuss his disallowed goal. That’s been the main talking point of the first half.

Chelsea 0 - 0 Tottenham

45 mins: There’s going to be three minutes of added time to play at the end of the first half. It’s been a fairly even contest. Both teams have had one shot on target but Harry Kane’s goal should have counted.

Chelsea swing a free kick into the box from the right but it’s claimed in the air by Hugo Lloris.

Chelsea 0 - 0 Tottenham

43 mins: Chance! Tottenham are opened up after Chelsea regain the ball in their own half and knock it up to Kovacic. He sends it up to Lukaku who drives into the box and fires a left-footed shot at goal only for Eric Dier to block it.

Chelsea 0 - 0 Tottenham

41 mins: Disallowed goal! Tottenham come flying down the left side with Sessegnon in possession. He slots it into the box where Harry Kane and Thiago Silva are shoulder-to-shoulder. Kane has a hand on Thiago’s back and pushes off the centre-back to bring the ball under control. Thiago goes down and Kane slots the ball home!

The referee decides straight away to disallow the goal and there’s not enough evidence for VAR to overturn it. Chelsea have a reprieve!

Chelsea 0 - 0 Tottenham

38 mins: Hudson-Odoi receives the ball out on the left wing and is closed down by Tanganga. Hudson-Odoi flicks the ball around the defender who then shoves the Chelsea man to ground and picks up a yellow card.

Tottenham win the ball back in the middle of the pitch and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg threads the ball up to Ryan Sessegnon. He sweeps into the box from the left and has a shy at goal. His shot is played across the box towards the back post but goes wide.

Chelsea 0 - 0 Tottenham

35 mins: Chelsea haven’t had much success from any of their corners yet which is to Tottenham’s credit. They’ve dealt with crosses into the box really well so far meaning Chelsea have to find a way to play through them if they want to get in on goal.
