Follow live coverage as Crystal Palace face Fulham today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Fulham have the first corner of the game, with Tete making his way down the right under no pressure at all. It’s a strong start from the away side.

Oliver Glasner names a different-look Crystal Palace side, who are swamped with injuries to key players and a suspension for Will Hughes. The key talking point for their side is 21-year-old Justin Devenny starting for the first time in the Premier League. Due to the lack of first-teamers available to Glasner, a defender is being played in midfield, next to Kamada. It is unclear whether that will be Guehi or Chalobah who will shift into the middle as Palace look to fill a gap. Doucoure is an option off the bench, but he isn’t fit enough to start yet. As for Fulham, Marco Silva has named an unchanged side after their win against Brentford. Their hero in that game, Harry Wilson, is on the bench. Andersen starts in defence against his former club, after moving West of London in the summer. Also on the bench is Sessegnon, who was heavily linked with Palace in the transfer window, and even trialled with the Eagles before returning to his boyhood club.

Marco Silva, unlike his counterpart, will be pleased with how his side has begun their domestic season. Fulham sit ninth in the Premier League and have won more games than they have drawn or lost. They recently won against Brentford in spectacular fashion, netting twice in added time to steal three points from their local rivals. Fulham will see this as a game that they should be winning, after already picking up impressive results against Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Leicester.

Crystal Palace vs Fulham

Oliver Glasner’s team has started poorly in this Premier League campaign; he will be disappointed with the fact that his side are still not picking up maximum points in games where they perhaps deserve to. They have only won one game and have drawn four, and they are currently 17th in the league table. The mental block of getting their first win was taken care of against Tottenham Hotspur but after a disappointing draw against Wolves, Palace desperately need another three points. The home team will see this game as a winnable fixture, but they are without key players, so the squad will have to be on top form.
